Despite the abnormal weather conditions, Turkey is not going to close access to the most popular outdoor attractions and museums, including the ruins of the ancient city of Ephesus will be open.
According to an employee of the museum in Ephesus: “No restrictions have been introduced, we are working in the usual mode from 8.00 to 20.00”. From his words we can understand that the number of guests has decreased, but not much. The Museum of Ancient Ephesus is an open-air museum located near the modern town of Selcuk. To see all the sights (amphitheater, library of Celsus) will take about an hour of time and this is if you are in a hurry. Currently the temperature in the area is hovering around 40 degrees Celsius and this will continue for the next week.
Alanya Fortress is also operating as usual, although the air is warming up to almost 40 degrees.
In Antalya it is about 45 degrees, but here too everything is working as before, despite the heat. And there is a lot to see here (ruins of the ancient city of Fazelis). Excavations of Troy, which is in the province of Çanakkale, are also waiting for guests.
The museums of Istanbul are working in normal mode and, according to the staff, the number of visitors has not changed.
